I wanted a low-tech way to get back to ideas I had found when reading my scrapbooking magazines, so I developed an "inspiration notebook."
I got a three-ring binder and tabs that divide the notebook into a variety of categories. Some of these are: layouts I love, accent ideas, color schemes, fonts, digital stuff, etc. When I find something in an article that I want to come back to later, I make a brief note about it and add it to the appropriate category of my notebook.
Sometimes I glance through the notebook when I am stuck with a layout. Other times, I look through the notebook and find an idea I want to try before I have the photos in mind.
I have found this format allows me to easily keep track of my "inspirations" without tearing up my magazines.
